Hello, I’m Alex!
I’ve been a chiropractor since 2007 when I graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxford following a five year degree in Chiropractic.
Alexandra Hurley BSc(Hons) Chiro DC MMCA GCC Registered Chiropractor
Alexandra is the Chiropractor and practice owner at The Cotswold Chiropractor. She became interested in Chiropractic during her first career with horses, when several of Alex’s equines had amazing results from Chiropractic care. Alex leads her team with a vitalistic, non-pain-based approach to healthcare, that produces consistent results for those they serve. Patients at The Cotswold Chiropractor are educated that the state of being pain-free is not necessarily an indicator of optimal health. Many other factors come into play, including:
Physical and structural integrity – being free of spinal imbalance paired with healthy nerve conduction.
Emotional and mental balance – freedom from anxiety and excessive feelings of stress and fear. High levels of mindfulness, optimism and wise lifestyle choices.
Nutritional excellence – a well-balanced and healthy diet, freedom from toxicity.
Alex aims to help people figure out the root cause of their problems. She finds it particularly rewarding to assist men and women ages 30-65 in overcoming chronic back pain. Pain that’s unrelenting can seriously impact the amount of joy in one’s life-and Alex wants a more empowering outcome for those she serves. She’s got a strong belief in the power of the Chiropractic adjustment and is dedicated and devoted when it comes to helping others.
Alex is an experienced Chiropractor, and she has learned over years of practice, and helping thousands of patients, that healing takes time; there are no shortcuts to achieving optimal health. She knows that lifestyle factors are important, and that dysfunction stems from many sources: physical, chemical and emotional. Alex’s goal for every patient is for them to thrive, to experience excellent results and achieve long-term change and be able to do the things they love to do! She will guide you through every step of your healing journey.
When Alex isn’t adjusting patients, training her team or running the practice you’ll likely find her out and about in the countryside with her gorgeous black Labrador Olaf!
